The Home screen is the default page that is shown when logging in. One can always navigate back to the Home by clicking or tapping on the Information Hub logo on the top left Information Hub logo.
To log out select your profile icon on the top right. From the pop-up meny select the logout option.
The Home screen shows all the projects you belong to or the projects that you have created. Projects are the primary means of organising and managing resources on the Information Hub. If you click on your profile icon on the top right of the page (typically the first letter of your username) a menu will pop-up. The first option is Your Projects which takes you to the Home screen with all your projects. Note that the Go App does not display projects, only Apps built inside the Information Hub are shown in the Go App.
You can view your account settings by clicking or tapping the icon on the top right and selecting Settings. One can also select Settings from the navigation menu on the left hand side. The Settings page shows your account information. Your name, email address, profile visibility, and username can be altered at will.
Under the security section one has the ability to choose a new login password for your profile. It is recommended to regularly update and change your passwords. Periodic password changes are not forced on users.
The API Keys section permits the creation of API keys. API keys allow one to access, retrieve, pull and push data to the Information Hub over the internet within a programming environment without having to use a user interface or web browser. This facility is especially useful for data analysis in Python or R. One can create and name multiple API keys with an optional description to note the purpose of a particular API key.
You can view all the organisations that you belong to on the Information Hub by navigating to the Organisations page using the navigation bar on the left or by selecting your profile icon on the top right. Organisations are the highest level organisation and management of projects. Projects must be owned by an entity: Like a user, group, or organisation. Organisations are useful for owning and managing projects that are part of a larger team or organisation.
Groups allow one to organise and manage users inside an organisation. Users can be added to specific groups inside the organisation. Projects can be owned by a specific group, instead of the entire organisation.
The search bar on the top right allows one to search through all projects, organisations, and groups.
The search bar in the centre of the screen is a local search bar and is limited to searching through your current location or view: Projects, groups or organisations etc. In the image below the highlighted search bar searches through all the projects that one has been given access to.
However, changing context by going to your groups, or navigating to an organisation will result in slightly different behaviour. The global search bar next to the bell icon is always accessible.
Your account details can be seen after logging in and selecting the profile icon on the top right.
A menu will appear. Selecting settings will show the settings for your account and other important information.
